Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team. This role focuses on supporting large-scale projects within the Public Safety and Justice domain, including the Inmate Tracking System (ITS) and the Inmate Records Information System (IRIS). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business analysis, project management, and data integration, with a focus on security and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and understand the scope and business requirements of the Inmate Tracking System (ITS) and Inmate Records Information System (IRIS) projects.
- Collaborate with business analysts and developers to create specifications, interface design documents, and conduct data compliance reviews for the ITS project.
- Work with subject matter experts to implement multifactor authentication, active directory integration, and single sign-on for the ITS project.
- Provide support and complete tasks related to the ITS project’s operational readiness review and user training.
- Complete project tasks and validate technical requirements for the IRIS project, including the Healthlink/EPIC and DataWorks interfaces.
- Collaborate with the TSS network support team to conduct Spartan device testing for the ITS project.
- Support developers with testing tasks for the ITS project interfaces and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Provide disaster recovery support and operational support for both the ITS and IRIS projects.
- Offer knowledge transfer to ensure continued operations and support for the ITS and IRIS projects.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst on large-scale projects.
- Experience in the Public Safety and Justice domain.
- Strong business analysis skills, with a solid understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Proficient in project management, data analysis, and system integration.
- Experience with MSSQL, data extraction, query building, data validation, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerBI.
- Familiarity with data migration and strong technical security knowledge, particularly regarding criminal justice information system data compliance.
- Comprehensive technical understanding of operating systems, applications, databases, networking, and security systems.
- Excellent documentation, diagramming, and mentoring skills.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- A four-year degree in Information Technology or seven years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Business Systems Analyst.
- Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CBDA, CPRE, BPA, or AAC are highly preferred.
